There are only something like 4 battery manufacturers (lead).

From there, just paying for a feel good sticker.

Higher price does not always equate to "Better"!

Also need to look at the warranty.

I agree....batteries in the winter and alternators/fan belts in the summer. Serpentine belts during a road trip in an area that is secluded.

2 years ago, middle of winter, dog and a car from of groceries..
wouldn't start
Lucky I knew a man having coffee at Urban Fare, so he drove pup , groceries and me home, dropped off everything, went back and boosted it so I could drive to garage
Of course now I owe him and have paid for it :p

Glacier wrote: Feb 23rd, 2023, 3:38 pm I haven't gotten a battery yet. Things got busy.

When I had a 1992 Subaru the original battery lasted until 2007.
We had a bad run of batteries (including some from Costco). A friend told us about a different type of car battery, one that handles the constant draw more modern cars have. We never used to have problems but these past few years it seems like we've been running through batteries in months, not years.

The type of battery is called AGM https://www.blackridgeresearch.com/blog ... ed-battery. Husband suggests you do research on them and why they are supposed to be better.

So far, it seems to be working for us.
I haven't failed until I quit.
