there isn't any good Chinese food in Kelowna :(
Depending on what you like Dragon King - over by Kanata hotel is about the closest to real Chinese food. They also have dim sum ( except on Tues) Bit far from Glenmore but they open early, you can hit Walmart of something then fetch take out.

Preliminary investigation results in excellent reviews.

I will give them a try on your recommendation.

Who is allowing dine in? My dad has a hankering, and I’m finding “no dine in” a common thing.

Mei Wei on our side of the bridge has "dine in". Closed Mondays and Tuesdays though.

Thank you. Well, we will have to take what we can get, right. Ideally the thing on his wish list is an open buffet.

Some like it, some don't, I haven't been there since 2008.

When I try out certain types of new restaurants for myself, I always check the Health Department website and look at the violation history before deciding.
For example, I check out establishments serving certain types of foods, with a long history of being in business, where there may be a build-up of contaminates or rodent/bug issues. I also check places that serve a mixture of beef, chicken, pork, and raw foods where there is a high possibility of cross contamination.

You would be surprised as to who are the worst offenders, many of them are old age/supportive living homes.
