Mobile Car Detailers.

Post by alanjh595 »

Does anyone have a Mobil car detailer that they have used and is of a reasonable price?

I have contacted several with websites and their prices vary from $275 - $650.
I have compared them to Skogies that charges $180 but I have to to sit and wait for up to 2 hours to do the job.

You probably won’t like my response, the cheapest vehicle detailer is yourself.
If you know how to operate a rag, vacuum and possibly q-tips. Then you are good to go

Yeah....I know that, but due to physical restrictions due to health, makes it difficult to even reach that part of the windshield on the inside, where it meets the dash.
I have done my best over the last 10 years, but I need some help to bring my baby back to her true beauty.

10 years old and only 40K kms. Haven't even reached the 1/2 way point of my original Michelin tires.

Curious, what is your baby? Did you try bubbles on Springfield?

I tried Bubbles once before and they did not do a good job.

You may not like my answer either but here it is. 180 at Skogies and wait for 2 hours versus have someone come to your door and do the job for 250 to 400? That means we're not talking about 250-400, we're talking about 70-200 bux give or take assuming that you would be willing to pay the 180 at Skogies if it didn't take too long.

No brainer too me. My time is worth the increase in cost.

He did say he was not happy with Skogies work previously.

There are handy tools for reaching the hard places on windshields. Maybe try one of those.

Skogies used to have a "deal" detail that cost less than 40 bux and maybe less than 30. That was a few years back but I had it done several times. It took about a half hour and the job was really good.

They don't have that anymore. Wonder why?

Agreed .. I'd GLADLY detail the QX4 for the wife for a brown note ..(It's hers) But "NOPE" . She has to spend the bucks taking it somewhere ..

And you should see my vacuum . It'll out suck anything in this town .
