Recommend automotive rustproofing in Kelowna-area

Post by _Paul_ »

Hi, moved to BC not long ago, wondering if anyone can recommend a reputable shop who offers automotive rustproofing in the Kelowna area? Krown or rust check is the most common?
Cheers

If you don't get it done before taking possession of the car my understanding is it's too late.

Check you manual, I've read in previous ones of mine that aftermarket undercoating was not recommended by the mfr.

Had an argument with a GM dealer salesperson who was adamant I needed to get it till I pointed that out to him in the book.

Don’t bother….IMO that’s a pure money grab that’s unnecessary. Vehicles are made much better these days. You don’t see new vehicles rusting like they did 20 years ago.

^^^^ Taking all the above into consideration.

Back in the day I used to use a product similar to this.
https://www.amazon.ca/Loctite-75430-Ext ... 3627&psc=1

But, used on older vehicles during the restoration process.

Never had a call back on rust repair of body, and even many years later the frame,
and chassis components still retained their colour/coating.

Your vehicle in new, so, different kettle of fish.

Good luck.

The biggest reason to undercoat a new car is to give the dealer more money! :200:

Or, you just moved from the most rust riddled piece of planet there is,
after New York. :smt045

Undercoating or rustproofing will not deter the nasties of
electrical component corrosion and failure.
