Common sense says you don't put a HOV lane on the left side of the road in the middle of a city. (I know that was a Provincial idea, but perhaps a letter (or several letters) from the Mayor explaining how much the "Voters" of Kelowna are unhappy with it might help.

Last time I looked the HOV was the right lane... not the left.

My bad...I mean't my other left - Cal

Try just being yourself, and honest.

Although with some, they simply cannot help being an "idiot" :runforlife:

Hi,

Not quite sure what you mean by that - but I do appreciate your input.

The Alternative Approval Process. AAP they call it. It seems that whenever they want to spend a whole bunch of our money on something they know we won't like. this is how they shove it down our throats. As Mayor I would never agree to a single issue that was decided in this manner. Why these guys don't stand up for us on these issues is beyond me. The AAP has got to go.

Sorry...but I hate that process...it turns our democracy into a Monarchy.

My Evolving Platform:

- Listen to the people

- Good bye to the HOV Lanes

- Good Bye to the AAP (Alternative Approval Process)

- Park Only on the Cedar Ave Development site

- Make Kelowna the most fun City in Canada

- Figure out and finalize the Downtown Development Plan

Its a work in progress, but any input is much appreciated...I can't do this alone. What do you guys want?

Cal

I would like to know what our new Mayor is going to do about the on-going gangster and drug dealer problem that we have here in Kelowna?
It really isn't fair for taxpayers to be paying big taxes for the RCMP to babysit the drug industry, and yet we don't have basic community policing, or basic consistent traffic law enforcement by a reliable consistent police force.

How about some law enforcement and proper By-law enforcement to deal with the thousands of complaints per year that the City faces due to the lack of law enforcement in all areas. Quality of life is suffering, as well, Kelowna's claim to fame is "terrible drivers".

While the Mayor and council have bigger things to fry, the basics are being swept under the carpet.

The City of Kelowna needs an online complaint department, and multiple continuous online Citizen surveys to see what people would like to see as far as change. If the Mayor and council represent the general publics needs, then at least make it so we have some direct input that will be considered.

Kelowna needs a clean sweep of all existing council members, with the exception of possibly a couple newer members.
Without proper council members, the same garbage will take place.

Our exisiting council is out of touch with reality.
And Mr. Auditronics shouldn't even be allowed on council!

I'll vote for Cal, even if others are more in tune with Issue's and are supposedly "qualified".

Remember, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Old dogs are set in their ways, and there is no hope in changing bad habits unless you have some new "trainable blood".

Do you want to get paid to say what you do not want to say? I don’t.
