Acclamation win

Pursuant to Section 76 of the Local Government Act, the following candidate has been elected by acclamation:

Only problem is that you can't be elected by acclamation until after the conclusion of the period the public has to challenge a nomination. That period runs 4 days next week. Someone has jumped the gun! Perhaps they should read Section 76 of the Local Government Act again!

You can't be 'elected by acclamation' until after the period during which the public can challenge a nomination. As per section 76 of the Local Government Act, this can't happen until October 21st so somebody has 'jumped the gun' making this declaration today!
