You are correct. During high water the Similkameen River often flows up into Osoyoos Lake.

When the Similkameen is high, it makes the dam lower than the water level, thus making water do what water does best - flow downhill

You are correct. During highway water the Similkameen River often flows up into Osoyoos Lake.

So I would suggest Graham Adder do this trip little later in the year.

True story.

I was the last person to leave work yesterday, and so just before I exited the building I flicked the lights. This morning I was the first person to arrive at work so I tried turning the lights on with a different switch this time, but nothing happened. I walked back to the front door and turned on the lights with the same switch I'd used the previous night.

The lights are wired with two three-way switches that both work. The puzzle for you is to tell me why the first switch didn't work this morning.

Because of the way it's wired? The electricity runs to switch 1 to switch 2 to the lights, therefore making switch 1 basically an on/off for switch 2 because the electricity can't get through if switch 1 is off?
