How do you market yourself and your campaign/policies to people who don't come on Castanet or FB or other social media sites?

I am attending all of the All Candidates Meetings, I have been door knocking, plus I have a couple of volunteers door knocking. I am a member of Rotary so I attend all the different Rotary meetings in Kelowna to let them know I am running. I was a member of the Kelowna JC's and my wife was a member of the Okanagan JC's so we have been spreading the word through friends.

I am also hoping to get some endorsements by community groups. I am taking advantage of all the free media offerings. Plus I am working to generate as much media attention as I can. So far my tech platform has been picked up by Castanet and Accelerate Okanagan's website. I was interviewed about my no sign / social media approach by CBC radio the other day.

I have spent less than $400 to date and I'd guess that I have communicated to at least 30% of Kelowna voters by now. and most of them know more about me than just my name.

I also attend charity dinners and other local events. Having so many Facebook friends, I am constantly getting invited to events around town... now I have a great reason to go.

The best thing about a digital sign, is that it can't get knocked down...
