CHBCNews CHBC News
Voter turnout jumps from about 19% to 33%

good to see voter turnout increased, but a pretty dismal number when only a third of eligible voters exercise their right. oh well.....

Nah ... keep 'em.

They'll be so busy creating jobs they'll never notice.

Isn't that what we were promised now? Jobs? Bring 'em. I want to see these jobs they promised to our young people NOW.

Ok Let's play the game your way. What did she do, or any of the rest of them, that got themselves re-elected?

I rest my case.

I've always liked Sharon Shepherd but I was disappointed to hear her comments tonight on CBC Radio and later on AM 1150. Taking the high road when you lose is the way to go - always. I understand she's upset with what she considers a negative campaign run against her but election night is a time to congratulate the winner(s) and move on. It's unfortunate that the campaign was so negative and I'm sure she has some good points. Still, her comments this evening are not the way she'll want to be remembered as Mayor. Sorry to see her reign end with such bitterness on her part.

Thats why they were elected.

Of course if they don't run the show the way you see fit, you'll view it that way.

Damn straight.

They are accountable to ALL the citizens, not just the ones who voted them into office.

I will definitely hold them to that.

LOL. Your in for a long disappointing few years!

So Logical....you voted for Gray knowing is not accountable. Hummmmmm...........

With a new mayor and five new councillors, Shepherd says the city has spoken loud and clear.

"I guess they have decided they want a new council pretty well and a new mayor."

You bet "they" did.

Gramma respects the democratic process.

Gramma says they better get off their *bleep* now and produce these high paying jobs they promised our young people.

Gramma is sad for her city's elderly, the GL community and the poor.

Gramma is not so dumb that she expects anything wonderful to happen with highrises any time soon in the downtown core. But Gramma feels bad for all the little landowners who just may get the screwing of their lives.

Gramma says get chickens and f council now.

Gramma says drop all your unwanted cats off at the new Mayor's office - he says there are not enough stray cats in Glenmore and he can take them home with him.
