Yes its the truth but a depraved sick truth kind of like a lot of things deemed as ok in our twisted passive society !

Condoning which kind of crap? Is the crap you are referring to sex with donkeys or is it showing a movie about a practice in a foreign country that likely most people didn't know about considered crap in your opinion?
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

I'm not sure exactly how important it is to 'educate' people about some rural villagers in Columbia who have sex with their donkeys.
I mean...seriously...how is this amazing knowledge going to contribute to the betterment of our society as a whole ?

Does a documentary really need to be produced about every sicko out there that performs illegal acts?

I'm having a hard time understanding why this 'film' could possibly be considered important information for anyone to know about.
Wise enough to know better.

We all make choices in life. You don't want to see the movie ... don't go.
I remember a movie with Jodie Foster years back about a woman being raped in a bar and everyone watching and doing nothing about it. I chose not to go see the movie as I know it would have upset me.
Pretty simple really.

What, you think a lot of the garbage we see on tv and film could be considered important information?

Exactly.

Is someone going to do a documentary about someone caught in North America doing these types of acts, being prosecuted for it and then showing this film to these Columbians?

It's disgusting, it's animal abuse and it shouldn't be shown where it's not culturally acceptable.

I'm going to assume those of you who think this is freedom of speech, "don't go see it if you don't like it", etc. will feel the same way about child abuse? In some cultures it's okay for an adult to rape a child. So if someone was going to document that and want to show it in Kelowna, you're okay with that I'd be safe to assume.

funny how people want free speech for donkey sex and cry bloody murder when pro life protesters are outside a hospital. that is the absolute zenith of hypocrisy.

You mean like a film about Islam or Priests? Yea wouldn't go over too well in a religious city like Kelowna (well maybe the Islam film would)

The point is, the movie is a done deal. Nothing you can do about that now. No one said that it was ok. Animal abuse is everywhere. Dancing bears, dog fights, circus elephants, shark killing for shark fins soup, dolphins being slaughtered every year in Japan( everyone saw that one, I'm sure ), etc... " You don't have to go see it if you don't like it, doesn't mean you agree with it ". You are assuming way too much IMO.

Its not really about sex with their donkeys - its about what the males will do and have done for centuries to get their rocks off but keep their females pure for the marriage bed. Traditions passed down from fathers to sons, taught to the boys in the schools, power and control and religion ... girls don't get pregnant outside of marriage - to the betterment of their society as a whole.

Religions advocate some pretty sicko stuff, eh?

I like how no one has noticed that Off also wants to play a movie called "A.L.F." (Animal Liberation Front)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xrh1au ... shortfilms

And how they played "Wild Horses & Renegades" last year.
http://youtu.be/ZvOypYdpiMg

They seem like they don't seem like to see animals abuse.

They are also playing a medical marijuana doc.
http://www.codeofthewestfilm.com/trailer

Also a doc about stem cell research and a way to predict Alzheimer's:
http://youtu.be/WKip_DPVbeg

And a short doc about the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline, which is just a disaster waiting to happen!
http://www.thepipedreamsproject.org/

These are all much more interesting topics that people will face every day, why not talk about them?
Despite the cost of living ever notice how popular it remains?

How can you compare an inter-species erotica movie with some boring stem cell research flick?

It's crazy to me how many people even well into adulthood aren't mentally mature enough to make the distinction between talking about something and condoning it.

This whole issue kind of reminds me of watching a movie with my grandparents... I have to be careful about the content and make sure it's super bland because after we watch a movie with anything untoward in it they act like I just made a two hour argument for it... 'yes grandma I do think robbing a casino in las vegas with George Clooney would be wrong'.

Regardless I think anyone who threatens another persons life for any reason should be punished and punished harshly. Hopefully they are able to track down the wingnuts who threatened this guys life.

There's documentaries about that, too. Saw one on TV a few weeks ago, actually.
Your bias suits you.
