It truly is beautiful. And far more than "amazing". I was there when I was about 11 years old and even at that age it was unbelievable. I don't recall all the drapes, though, but can't remember what was there instead. More painting, perhaps? I think the Sistine Chapel was what left a lasting impression on me and influenced my interest in creating "art".

I don't believe any real Christian believes in the pope, however they also don't refer to Jesus in a mock term, which is what I was referring to.

The 'my brand of Christianity is better than your brand' argument.

Sistine Chapel 360 degree photo. Breathtakingly amazing.

That is amazing, being able to zoom in on everything allows you to take in each painting individually or even the mosiac patterns in floor for that matter. Could take a while to go through it all.. Very cool Captain..

Regarding the Vatican, it's the only multinational corporation that has it's own country, which can come in handy when laws are broken.

And therein lies the reason why I rejected Christianity when my wife's family tried to convert me.

Strangely enough I had a much higher opinion of Religion BEFORE they attempted to school me in it.

I had gone to nondenominational summer camps as a kid , and thought that god loved EVERYONE , not just certain folks.

So you're not a Christian? I don't know why I thought you were.

I'm Anglican ,we reformed a long time ago ,about 400 years now.
i asked the Christ if it was ok to call him jebus .He didn't say no.

"Kibbs" it sounds more like you really don't believe in Jesus (as presented in the Bible) or you would rather join those who mock rather then be among the ones being mocked. Lets face it, the ones who belittle the Bible, God, Jesus and Christianity as a whole are the ones who refer to Jesus the way you did. Who's side are you one? Sounds like your against rather then for.

You have free will, just as the rest of us do, but at least man up about it. One cannot mock the one whom he believes died for him and claims to follow him (which is what a Christian is, a follower of him). Well, for or against? Me I'm for, mockers or not, I don't care what about you Kibbs?

Oh I don't know, Jesus probably had a pretty good sense of humor.

Luke 19:26-27

But I say to you, that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath, shall be taken from him. But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither, and kill them before me. — Jesus

Matthew 10:34-37

Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And as a man’s enemies shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me. — Jesus

Or not.

I'm sure he does. A joke is far different then mocking. Suppose you had a meeting with Harper or Obama, would you change their names and call them by it, in front of them? I would imagine most people would say Mr Prime Minister or Mr. President.

But as Kibbles mentioned, he's not really a Christian but more of a religious mutt. I didn't say you can't mock some people, maybe not the the King of Kings, but others just open the door wide. And besides, when you mix several breeds what do you call it?
