Vote Count

Discuss the upcoming provincial election. Keep it civil in here, people. It's not the Political Arena.

The high road is always the better road. I know you're disappointed but those who voted have spoken.

This just in, people don't give a *bleep* as to who runs their province/country. 48% voter turnout my *bleep*. What a joke.

Wasn't it alex tsakumis from Radio CKNDP?

This result just goes to show you that the CBC et all have an agenda against prosperity.

79) Westside- Kelowna = 43.8%

The main thing I take away from this election is that none of the parties, and particularly the Liberals and the NDP, managed to capture the minds and hearts of the majority of the electorate as voter turnout continues to decline (estimated so far at 48%, versus 58% in the 2005 election - the lowest turnout ever If I recall correctly). ....it's testimony to just how low "government" in BC has sunk on so many fronts. One thing seems certain.... Christy Clark now has her work cut out for her, and we will get to see to what degree substance and performance in actual governance can replace several years of endless campaigning.

There are no "winners" here.

and it was 52% voter turnout...1% higher than 2009, sad eh!

but i am not bitter.......much! lol

Well, I guess the next most interesting thing will be to see where Christy goes to try and win a seat in the legislature for herself.

.....or how effective the NDP can be in opposition under Dix - or for that matter whether Dix even stays on as leader.

Never, ever do they offer a solution.
Never, ever do they contribute.
They have an ineffective leader and are riddled with extremists lusting to fulfill their socialist dreams.
The NDP are excellent opposition. Dix is the perfect leader.

Unfortunately they didn't say anything intelligent.

Politics used to matter, there used to be some integrity; now it's just a contest to display incompetance to the maximum degree.

She made bold promises to turn B.C. into a world leader in liquefied natural gas, confidentially predicting the industry will create tens of thousands of jobs and fuel government revenues that will one day make her province debt-free.
