2 Retardant drops so far on the lake side towards homes. They are using small planes and not the big bombers.
Pretty challenging area to drop in.

Lots of cars on Pinot Noir drive very close to the fire. Like bugs to a night light.

People!! have you not seen a fire before...stop rubber necking and keep the traffic flow going....

Hey look something bright and yellow and something black is rising from it...must slow down to go to the side if the road....oh hell to the traffic...its all about me!
**Disclaimer: The above statement is in my OPINION only.

Bucketing helicopter onsite now. Does not seem to be growing in size. Luckily no winds

No on-line scanner for the area that I've been able to find. Scan BC used to have a link but that's been removed.

There has been a few big bomber drops and now multiple helicopters bucketing onsite.
Looks like they have really knocked it down.
Feel bad for the firemen who will have to climb that mountain in order to fully contain it.
Will be extremely hot out on the rock. Not to mention really steep.

Was planning on hiking Mt Bou this evening. I guess that's cancelled.
I don't envy the crews hiking that in fire gear.

Well home now and traffic over bridge was about same as usual. Cannot see any smoke rising up from this side of mountain (Rose Valley) so looks like they got on it. I see that the Castanet story update mentions the looky loos who are either slowing or worse case stopping to look!!! Freakin idiots

Just got a fb report that a roof was on fire in the area, can anyone confirm?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?
