Awfully smoky outside this evening. I can barely see across the lake.

By reading the provincial fire protection grafts (from the above posts kindly provided by Glacier), you should know that with the current fires all around us and no air movement, that the smoke will be settling in the valley. We all know it's smoky out.

I wonder if that's why it didn't get very warm in the valley today. Osoyoos was not hotter than Abbotsford, for example. Smoke tends to keep the temperatures down.

It's difficult to tell the difference between smoke and rain.

Not raining here though the skies are grey.
Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

From a distance, that is. If it's raining right on your head then it's pretty obvious.

Yes, and we will get quite a bit on Wednesday. What really needs rain the red line of extreme. The highway is closed between where my wife is today and where I am. If they don't a handle the forest fire that has shut down the highway I might have to get re-married. All because we didn't get enough rain.

100% chance of rain tonight, which seems like pretty good odds to me.

The rain clouds are coming up from the south, you can see them starting to show up on the radar.
