Looks like there's something going on up here. Planes circling and fire trucks heading up the hill.

From what I saw in Peachland it looked fairly large. Thankfully there's not much wind.

The fire is growing quickly just got home from up there. There are 2 bombers so far attacking the fire. Trees are candling up top the hill and its spreading slowly down the hill towards the highway . Come on firefighters go get this one out!!

Holy cow it is taking an awful long time for any updates. Hopefully its not too bad.

It's ~5 ha in size as of right now.

I don't consider that "big" - but any size (esp. if close to homes) is too big, IMO. But overstating things never helps.

It says in the Castanet news report "It is burning in the hills above the 8000 block of Sun Valley Road." Just need to search it on google maps, if you don't know where that is. Many don't; it connects to hwy 33 via Cardinal Creek rd at the east end, and Goudie at the west end.
