Really? and from what i read that the bones or artifacts are maybe 1100 years old...How do they know its the osoyoos indians...could be someone else from somewhere else..just because it old bones doesnt mean they were native to the area.

Also listening to the radio they were excited to be taking over the park but they dont really want to have camping on haynes point because they feel that provincial parks with camp grounds lose money....I bet a development will happen there..just too bad

ill all for them to have it..but please why change the name and dont change the operations of that park.
**Disclaimer: The above statement is in my OPINION only.

Completely ridiculous. This is the first I have heard of the story and it is not right. *removed*

Apparently you couldn't be bothered to take the time to read the links so to save you some time I copy and pasted a piece for you.

"Park visitors can expect the same recreational opportunities as before."

If the gate closes at different hours then current 10 pm to 7 am (summer hours), then maybe people could have a problem. If hours don't change then whats big deal.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.
