Ben admits to changing sign--Penticton
another example of a complete dufus, harmless to him of course, but causing the city to pay someone to go out and "fix" the "harmless" prank.
"It wasn't our plan to make the city or anyone mad," he said. "It was just a harmless prank, and people are talking about it everywhere.

Where does it say that the city had to pay someone to remove the tarp? It could've been anybody and/or volunteers.

I laughed too. As for "paying somebody to go out and fix" it, as a city park I would imagine someone is up there pretty much daily anyways. It was just a tarp weighted down by rocks, so someone ended up with a free tarp.

"They pinned the tarp down with rocks and drove over to Highway 97 to take a picture from across the lake."

Wow. Talk about getting one's panties in a knot over nothing. No harm or damage done here.
If you want to take up a cause that creates tons of real damage, go after the punks with cans of spray paint after dark.

I thought it was pretty funny as well.
We live in a community. We also pay the city to empty garbage bins filled with crappy stinky pooped filled diapers & doggy poop bags too. City workers gets paid their full time hours anyways... better keep them busy than paying them for turning around doing nothing.

He went back Monday to retrieve the tarp, because he didn't want to leave a mess, but it was gone.

Come on, it's Okanagan. The place where old people *bleep* constantly about everything, get panties in a bunch over nothing, and no fun is allowed.
