Either a sturgeon has been taking too much steroids, or the heat and drinks they had were going to their heads.

I'm more afraid of drunk cougars than giant snakes.

I believe they did see something weird. it wouldn't surprise me in the least that there is some kind of yet undiscovered creature in some lakes, including ours.

They had a camera...and plenty of time to take bad selfies - but t didn't cross their minds to take a photo of the giant snake swimming beside their boat ?
Right. Good way to get yourself onto the front page I guess.

I'm not saying that something doesn't exist. It's a big lake, it's deep, it's relatively unexplored. There could very well be some sort of large fish like animal living at the bottom.

But - it's not a sighting without proof, it's just a story.
And stupid selfies of two strange women pointing to the water is not proof.

I could have put my beer down and grabbed the smart phone , turned on the camera function and tried to aim the thing...

But I'd have to put my drink down. No thanks.

They just very well could have seen Ogie . Who knows ?

For this "sighting " or all the others that don't have photographic evidence. It's not the first time someone didn't get a picture.

So you're about as believable as the two Women on the boat.

If I saw something 18 inches in diameter , and longer than the boat I was on, and moving close to the boat... I would've been a bit shook up..

Ever notice that this happens every year just prior to tourist season, curious that.

Today's news story says there's no confirmation of sturgeon in the lake, but I remember talk of the divers seeing them (and being pretty freaked out) when they were building the first bridge. Was that just rumour?
