This is just getting ridiculous now.

A fire is burning near Beaver Lake Road in the Winfield area this afternoon, the second significant fire around the Kelowna area to start today.

Crews are en route to the 0.4 hectare blaze, but have not yet made contact. A 20-person unit crew, and three-person initial attack crew will be accompanied by two air tankers.

The fire was first reported just after 2:00 p.m. today.

Multiple daily starts in a zone isn't terribly uncommon when it's warm and dry, it's unfortunate when they are human caused though.

Judging the severity of the fire season by how things are in April doesn't make much sense. We've had many years like this (dry spring time) that ended up getting soaked by heavy rains in May and June.

So now are you a believer?

A believer in what? I was simply going by statistics that it usually rains throughout June and unfortunately that didn't happen this year. I'm sorry that I can't predict the weather perfectly 3 months in advance.
