What's going on at BC Hydro?

Over the past couple of weeks I have been watching a beehive of activity at the Hydro offices on Kal Lake Rd. Now they are erecting a big, ugly security fence. The kind that usually ends with barbed wire along the top. Curious minds need to know, what the heck is going on?? Anyone??

Just a guess, but do they store any wire on the site? There's big money in copper theft these days.

...and I would like to know why the beautiful big tree was chopped down in the spring. I tried to call, but I could not find any way to get a phone number of anyone working there.

Yes, I miss that beautiful tree too. As to the storage of wire, if they do it might be in the big concrete building that has been built behind the office building. As well, the employee parking has been moved from one end of the property to the other although this may not be a permanent move.

They are building new offices.
