Does anyone know where the smoke is from this morning? I woke up in the middle of the night having to close all my windows, as I was struggling to breathe.

It's coming from the large fires in the costal fire centre.

It's coming from both Lytton fire (Kamloops fire centre) and Harrison fire (Coastal fire centre) as well as a few smaller ones in the area over there.

UPDATE: Smoky skies across southern B.C.
We've received many reports and questions about smoke in areas of southern B.C. in the last few hours - particularly in valley areas (such as Nicola and the South Thompson).
We are not responding to any major new fires in these areas, so this smoke is drifting in from existing fires to the west - especially those in the gusty Fraser Canyon corridor (such as the Wood Lake fire along Harrison Lake, and the Cougar Creek fire west of Boston Bar).
Strong winds are bringing this smoke in to the interior and it is settling in valley bottoms as night begins to fall.

Strong storm in Penticton.

Really windy in kelowna but I don't think we'll get a storm. They're all sticking to the south.

Wide spread T-storms. Just drove thru some on hwy33.

Some sparks coming out of the storm to the North-East of Kelowna now. One in Greystokes, one end of Kal Lake, and also see one down by Penticton.

Sorry - in Naramata. Storm passed through the Summerland area with lightning seen across the lake in Naramata!

Still another month and a half or so left of the fire season, as long as we keep getting these small rain storms once a week we should be able to cruise right through to october without any other major incidents.
