The ability to "guess" what the weather will do tomorrow or the next day or next week or next month as a result of conditions today has come a very long way and in some respects borders on amazing.

But it is still just a best guess situation because of the still very many unknowns, especially at a local level.

Rain system moving east might help with Oliver and Rock Creek fires.

South East Kelowna has been getting a dump of rain for the last ten minutes. It snuck up on us from the direction of downtown and is coming down at about an 80 degree angle from SE to NW.

Hope it got your grass Truth.

The rain quit just as suddenly as it started. Apparently just a fast dump.

I take full credit for the SE Kelowna rain shower. I had just uncovered and fluffed up the garden swing and nicely settled in for a good read for the first time in weeks. It was so successful that I am now offering my services to come to your garden swing and bring a rain shower. No charge but please supply a warm towel to dry off with after.

Despite all that rain we never got, the fire danger rating has ramped up to high and extreme again.

Huge wind storm out there right now. Are we due for another thunderstorm?

Looks like no chance of lightning. System approaches from northwest. Nothing on vaisalla
I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

Wind and dry conditions are a bad combination. I'm hoping for some rain tomorrow.

Wind. No rain. Know who needs rain? Washington State, and I do mean just South of the border. They are suffering like I've never seen. Send them rain.

To Queen K ...

Are you not permitted to dance south of the border ?? People afraid of floods or what ??

World weather pattern changes have already started to move the local weather 300 to 500 miles farther north and south of the equator. It is a clock that can not be turned back.
