The end of the Conservatives?
Doug Ford might be considering a run for the Tory leadership, according to his brother.
"Doug said if it's a minority government, Harper's going to step down. He wants to run for leadership," Toronto Coun. Rob Ford told Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/ ... steps-down ). "If it's one member, one vote, he said, you know, he's as popular as anyone else across Canada."
Doug Ford was more reserved than his brother, reinforcing his continued support for Harper, but didn't dismiss the idea either.

Is this the new Conservative pitch? “Vote for Harper because if he loses you might eventually get Doug Ford”

You might be onto something there.

The comments do not in any way support the thread heading.
More "GET HARPER" in any way possible rhetoric from obvious NDP and Libby supporters.

Actually, the heading is a question - not more "Get Harper" rhetoric.
Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Re: The end of the Conservatives?
That would be your anti Conservative interpretation of the emotional impact associated to your heading. How could a theoretical and completely voluntary change in leadership somewhere down the road possibly be "the end of the Conservatives".
IMO the heading is definitely another cheap shot in the "GET HARPER" by any means campaign.

First of all, you have no way of knowing what political party I support. Secondly, try reading the article and discuss what it said instead of falling back on the same old, same old refrain.

IMO your "end of the Conservatives?" caption says everything that you wanted to convey.

What's Donny going to do when there are no more CPC BBQs ?
- was that a question, or is it anti Conservative interpretation of the emotional impact associated
to the heading of this thread and another cheap shot in the "GET HARPER" by any means campaign.

For goodness sakes Donald.
Try harder.
The poster even gave you a couple hints how you might contribute something coherent.
Personally I don't think this would ever be the end of Conservatives.
It is simply opportunistic political jostling by the Fords.

Re: The end of the Conservatives?
As one who would likely vote conservative given decent open and moral leadership, which under the draconian rule of the current slime minister does not seem possible, one hopes to see the end of the conservative debacle. Perhaps a period of moral rebuilding may bring the party back, for now it is the end.

STOP Harper = STOP Canada
STOP Harper = STOP Canada sliding rapidly downhill
= an NDP SOCIALIST Govt
Or a liberal, green, or even an ndp govt.
Another Greek Failure
We don't need a greek failure, we have our own Canadian failure in office at this time.

Re: The end of the Conservatives?
Another chapter in the joint NDP and Liberal plan to use febricated means to use innuendy, misleaing and donright false information to trash the Prime Minister as a means of increasing their chances of getting a few cheap votes.
So far they have spent all of their time in their quest to "Get Harper" and said absolutely nothing about what they themselves have to offer Canada and Canadians. Back ally politics that can not stand the light of day.
Some of the more radical NDP and Libby extremists would even have you believe that Canada, rated one of the top three countries in the world by the experts in the World Bank, is being financially mismanaged. What unmitigated rot.
They have their own theoretical version of the truth that has nothing to do with the real world.

You have a link to support this claim? Of all the sites I've seen, Canada doesn't break the top 10.
