We actually had to shut the windows in the house and then come inside...way to smokey out. My heart goes out to those who fight these fires and have to breathe this in for hours. Thank you fire fighters!

Miserable and heartbreaking for all those affected directly from these fires. Hoping for rain.

Where is the smoke coming from that you're getting? Out here in Lake Country perfectly clear night. But I DID mention earlier to my hubby that it looked like smoke at the south end of the valley.

Yep. Kaleden has been smoked out since mid afternoon. That fire is insane.

Nope, Stickpin is further East from our Valley. This smoke is mainly from the fires around Omak, Tonasket, etc. A bit from Mt. Kobau fire as well but mostly from the States. It will eventually push its way up to Vernon and further North if this south wind continues.

Trying to keep good air in the house and bad stuff outside. Visibility is terrible, it almost looks like fog.

This is what it looked like to the south of us earlier today before the wind shifted...

Wow, smoke is really bad this morning. Are they still going ahead with the Apple Triathalon race today with the poor air quality I wonder!
