Penticton screwed out of millions?
Remember when everyone was saying the SOEC would bring us prosperity
by bringing in to this city major events tat cater to young people?
Well - we lost $millions because of that lie.
Remember the enthusiasm for the Challenge Triathlon?
Well - we flushed $400,000 down the drain on that one.
How many other things have we lost money on?
The waterslide will be the next.

Takes money to make money.
Some projects are long term.. You should think about stuff a bit harder..

It shouldn't take our tax dollars to benefit private interests.
How many conventions has the new stakeholders brought to Penticton? Mayor and council of the times got rid of Mr. Loewen who was doing a fine job of bringing in conventions. Guess what he took the conventions with him to his new job. How's that long term crap working out now? If the city runs out of money water, sewer, and electrical rates keep going up. The city needs to stop spending money it does'nt have.

How's that long term crap working out now? - Ask me in 10 years.
The city needs to stop spending money it does'nt have - There is some truth to this, however....back to my first sentence.

Here is another puzzling waste of money. The pool was built not too long ago. Now the city has to redo all the tiles because they are slippery and a safety hazard.
There are so many safety standards, regulations, and inspections that apply to construction, including pools. How can the City end up in this situation so soon after the pool was built. Was something overlooked? Anyone accountable for what appears a pretty costly error.
