It'll be very windy today but there's a good possibility of precipitation tomorrow.

Environment Canada is smoking crack (or possibly just forest fire smoke). They say the UV index will be 6 today, but that's complete garbage. Unless that smoke clears it won't be any more than 3. yesterday it only got to 1.0.

BTW, the south Okanagan had cooler temperatures relative to normal yesterday because of the smoke. Fire danger rating is still high though.

Been watching the Environment Canada weather and satellite for past few days. The forecast has gone from 14 days of sunshine to starting Friday up to 7 days of some sort of rains in the forecast. A system moving in from the south west looks like lots of moisture. Lets hope for a complete collapse of this high system over southern BC as well as Washington and Idaho.

Yeah, it's gonna rain. Probably the end of the fire season. Cooler temperatures and rain usually mean the end of summer.

The forcast is still looking grim and rainy. Early summer ends early, I guess.

February: Nice to go to the Winter carnival parade and not have to bundle up. Odd to have no snow for Carnival.

March: Some of the trees are in bloom already.

April: It's an early summer.

May: The weather is just awesome. So warm for May.

June: More awesome. Glad to see we don't have our usual June rain.

July: Love the hot weather. What are they doing, telling us to not use so much water? We have lakefulls.

August: It's too smoky. Somebody oughta do sumthing.

Pathetic light rain in N. Glenmore right now, that won't even put out a match.

It's just starting. The big rain will be tomorrow. Here is the danger rating and temperature from yesterday. Even by this afternoon things will be much different.

EDIT: Here's an interesting graph of the largest coastal fires:

Well a bit of rain has started to fall. Coming in slow so far which is a good thing. Maybe by tonight we will have a slow steady drizzle. Lets hope for that at least. Heading out to the bush now, hope it is widespread.
