While I don't agree with absolutely everything in the article, I do agree with a lot of it.

The Progressive Conservative Party of the past was a much better Party, than the mean spirited ultra right wing Reform Party it has become.

Under Mr. Harper's watch, ordinary MP's have become almost irrelevant. And single minded ultra partisans like Polivere have risen to prominence. Unelected staffers in the PMO office appear to have been allowed to dictate to both MP's and Senators alike as to how they should vote and behave, and democracy has virtually "taken a holiday".

Harper is a threat, not only to the continued existence of the Conservative Party, but to Canadian democracy in general. The man has to go.

Harper stepping down about 2 years ago would have solidified another Conservative majority this year.
Look at the alternatives we have....a socialist, economy destroying man masquerading as a left of center moderate....and a man who isnt qualified to run a middle sized company, let alone our amazing country.

I agree. I used to be a card carrying Conservative in the pre Harper era, but I will never vote for the ultra right wing Reform Party that Harper has created under the Conservative banner.

On this we disagree. Mulcair really IS a left of centre moderate. Check his background and you'll see I speak the truth. He'd make an excellent PM if only people would give him the opportunity.

On this point you and I are in complete agreement once again.

Trudeau is a nice young man; but he does not have the necessary experience to suddenly be catapulted into the job of running this country. Being photogenic, and having the ability to give rousing speeches, isn't going to help him when he's sitting behind his desk in the PM office.

Many of his promises are so vague as to be meaningless. Just short sound bytes, that sound good on the six o clock news, but with little real substance.
