Thank you Mulcair

Post by dieseluphammerdown »

Thank you Tommy for taking the party Jack had built up into a contender and driving it right back down to a distant third.!
Thank you Tommy for wanting to stay on as leader, to keep the hated NDP at the bottom of the political ladder.!
Lastly thank you NDP supporters for thinking Tommy is the best federal leader the NDP has had despite it's complete and utter failure this election.!
Well done and keep up the bad political believes Canada is counting on it.!

Even for a non NDP supporter like myself this is a tasteless thread. Thanks for reaching a new low in posting on Castanet.

And here I thought good ole blatant diesel was talking about the party
the other 'Jack' built....Sir. John A MacDonald!

The Cons will probably just bring on another rabid right winger that will
keep them in opposition or? for a good long time.

It is time to unite all the center left so a Harper type PM never happens, again.

Why is that needed George? 39% of the overall vote is more than enough to solidify a party into a majority. At least, no one seems to be complaining that that's what just happened two days ago. Funny that, I remember a lot of people complaining about it last time....so weird...almost hypocritical even....

I would have to disagree Logicalview. What we have is a clone of Margaret Trudeau - a much scarier prospect in my opinion.

Forgive me, I wasn't clear. I wasn't intimating that JT is a clone of his dad. Far from it, I hope. I was intimating that the last time there was a uniting, sort of, between the Liberals and NDP, back in the 1970's and 1980's, we ended up with one of the worst governments in Canadian history, and the worst prime minister in history, Pierre Trudeau. That's why I was poo-pooing George's dream of the Liberals and NDP merging into one party. Really really bad idea. It just puts really bad people who don't deserve to be governing us that much closer to power, and that much closer to bringing their flawed and really bad ideas to fruition, and the ultimate damaging of the Canadian economy. Keep the NDP relegated to the third party zoo, behind bars.

That is where you completely lose it georgie. This is not a center left gov't. It is clearly a center right gov't. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news george but the socialists that warm your heart took a pounding in popular vote all across the Nation. Even where they won, their support was down.

Wrong.

The (center) lefties just wanted to get rid of Harper. Done.

Was that an Alberta blend coffee , Urbane, or a center left blend?
