Adam and Eve had 2 sons. Where were the sons' wives so they could multiply ?

Quote edited for length:
averagejoe wrote:This why I use the King James Bible, compiled in 1611.

The gold standard of English Bibles is the King James Version, completed in 1611, but that was not a translation of the original Greek. Instead, a Church of England committee relied primarily on Latin manuscripts translated from Greek. According to Jason David BeDuhn, a professor of religious studies at Northern Arizona University and author of Truth in Translation, it was often very hard for the committee to find the correct English words. The committee sometimes compared Latin translations with the earlier Greek copies, found discrepancies and decided that the Latin version—the later version—was correct and the earlier Greek manuscripts were wrong. The goal of the translators was to create a Bible that was a gorgeous work that was very accurate in its translation and clear in its meaning, but that didn’t happen. “The King James Bible is a beautiful piece of English literature,’’ says BeDuhn. “In terms of the other two goals, however, this translation falls short.”

After all, the bible says,
"5. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died."

He must have had at least a couple of daughters during that time.

About 400 years passed between the writing of the first Christian manuscripts and their compilation into the New Testament. (That’s the same amount of time between the arrival of the Pilgrims on the Mayflower and today.) The first books of the Old Testament were written 1,000 years before that. In other words, some 1,500 years passed between the day the first biblical author put stick to clay and when the books that would become the New Testament were chosen. There were no printing presses beforehand or until 1,000 years later. There were no vacuum-sealed technologies to preserve paper for centuries. Dried clay broke, papyrus and parchment crumbled away, primitive inks faded.

I am not upset, but that is not the first time you have misinterpreted the written words of another. Once again, interpretation is everything, and some just get it all wrong.

You're just trolling. If an asteroid wiped out the planet except two people, they could theoretically re-populate the earth. The same would be true if their names were Adam and Eve, and they lived 900 years, popping out another child every few years. (Of course, the 900 years opens another can of worms since it's physically impossible to live that long today, and thus a suspicious figure -- though even if you only had 20 years of child bearing years, you could still populate the earth).

And then we have the LDS version:
In the Garden of Eden[edit]
Adam and Eve's bodies were created by God the Father and Jesus Christ and were placed in the Garden of Eden,[1] which Joseph Smith taught was located in or near Jackson County, Missouri.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] When they were created, their bodies were not mortal and they could not die or have children, and they did not know right from wrong.[1]

God commanded Adam and Eve to have children, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over … every living thing that moveth upon the earth".[1][15] God told them they could eat of any tree in the garden except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and that the day they ate the fruit from that tree they would die.[1][16] Adam was made “lord or governor of all things on earth, and at the same time [enjoyed] communion … with his Maker, without a veil [sic] to separate between.”[17]

I don't see a question contained in my statement. Why are you being so hostile? I thought you were the expert in this field of study, I guess that your proclamation is not fact based upon performance past or present.

Obviously but I would think that incest would be regarded as a sin in the " Garden of Eden ". How can " The Lord " possibly justify that ?

I didn't actually see a question posed.

And....Kelowna does not have a Mormon Temple.

You ask for "the whole body" as proof of a 1.3 million year old man, and yet you can't produce the body of jesus, which is only 6000 years old to offer proof positive for your side of the discussion?

They have even found Tutankhamun and he is from 1332-1323 Before Christ.

Incest is a game the whole family can play?
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.
