LOL! They should have that

They did fine last night, no messes and no fussing. I planted an extra row, though!

Meet Cuddles and Tiger :)

And to keep on topic, here is my main food garden, they're the reason I have the beds fenced off (they'd wander through it).

They are sweet, and not hot - when they get hot they come in out of the sun. ;)

Just got back from the Kootenays.

And when we got back, I see my sunflowers are being eaten by birds already. It's not even July yet and I have sunflower heads being pulled apart by birds. Chickadees and American Goldfinch are well documented from previous years to be in the sunflower heads, but never this early.

Tomatoes are coming on like crazy, all of them still green. Carrots need to be thinned. Cucumber plants are getting the first tendrils for climbing. Zucchinis have flowers already. And berries are finishing up. Before we left we picked another six cups of Saskatoons for pie making.

Potato tops are so high my mom thought we might not have actual potatoes but "all tops". Last year the same thing happened and we dug out 50 lbs worth.

The gardens are parched though. Need more overnight rain.

We find potatoes popping up in all corners of the garden.
