Cue Frisk and Glacier.
Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

A wildfire in the Cinnabar Creek area of the Westside has prompted closure of a portion of Westside Road.
According to DriveBC, Westside Road is closed from Bear Creek Main to Fintry to allow both ground and air crews unfettered access to the blaze.
The BC Wildfire Management Branch is also asking boaters to stay away from the area for the safety of both boaters and crews working the fire.
The province has sent nine aircraft to assist in fighting the fire, including four skimmers, which use Okanagan Lake to reload their water tanks.
The fire, which broke out at about 3 p.m. this afternoon, has resulted in an evacuation alert being issued for Camp Owaissi, Lake Okanagan Resort and Camp Mewata along Westside Road.

UPDATE: 6:10 p.m.
RCMP have set up roadblocks for all traffic on Westside Road, south of Lake Okanagan Resort and just south of Dennison Road, according to Central Okanagan Emergency Operations
Residents are still able to access Dennison Road.
Motorists heading south on Westside Road are being stopped just south of La Casa Resort to determine their residency.

UPDATE: 7:14 P.M.
BC Wildfire Service says the fire has been reduced to a smouldering ground fire, and that firefighters are making "really great progress."
The Wildfire Service said air tankers have completed their operations using chemical retardant on the flames, but that skimmer aircraft are still at work, picking up water from the lake to dump on the fire.
A unit crew of 20 firefighters from the BC Wildfire Service will continue to work throughout the night to break the fire down.

Just viewed Castanets photo gallery of the fire. Is there something on the camera lens , or are their 19 boats loitering in the lake right in front of the fire ?

They should ban campfires now...too hot and dry for too long now. The Coast already banned open campfires...Poindexter wrote:Cue the fire ban.

Looks like everything on the westside is doing well with the clean up effort....
But yes checking they just banned it outright...
https://waburnbans.net/recent-burn-bans ... /okanogan/
But interesting about down there that the ban only affects state owned but not federally owned....
Anyways this should be a wake up call and do what they do down there ban fires until sept 30

Yes but the CORD banned them; not the Forest Service, which is just plain stupid. Means you can still have a campfire in the woods but not within CORD lands. They (KFC) should ban them outright in the Interior.
