Dealing with Slides ( 35 mm ones )
Anyone here ever fool with 35mm slides , without a projector ? I have a box full left to me , some from the what looks like the 40's possibly and up , in age . I thought a scanner could bring them up and a trick or two I saw on the net didnt work so fantastic .

I saw those , they are cool devices . I suppose if this was an ongoing project I wouldn't mind forking out a hun to view slides . This is like a one time dealio then thats a wrap . I'll try and look around for that scanner adaption method , a scanner we have already :)
Thanks

Check with camera or photography stores and see if they have a 35mm hand-held viewer. If not, and you really want to view the slides you could always purchase one.

I made myself a holder for my slides that mounted my camera at a length that I could take a picture of the slide in focus.
Then took pictures of them all in digital format. Worked well.

I picked up a slide loupe from Lens and shutter. They will convert them to digital for you, and I can't remember the cost, but my daughter had some prints made of some old slides we found in family storage.
