Re: What is it ?
Unfortunately no. Now I'm curious as well.
Can you give me a rough idea of where it was found? The area is definately wetter than typical for Okanagan.
I'd thought I'd seen every berry the Okanagan had to offer, but perhaps not. Any chance this is a non-native plant species?

That's what concerns me. I found it in area of new growth in a burned off area from a fire about 1-2 years ago in the Keremeos area. Just the one plant.

It's strawberry spinach, AKA strawberry blite (Blitum capitatum). It grows all over the place at my mom's place in central BC (she lives at 3,500 ft above sea level). We used to eat the stuff. It is edible and native to BC. No need to be concerned. Try the berries next time.

Thanks Glacier, My concern came about because no one in the area recognized it, not even my father-in-law who lived his entire life here, knows every plant for consumption or medicinal, but his eye sight isn't what it used to be.

Re: What is it ?
I had searched for "berry plants in BC", got frustrated and gave up. No wonder "duh"
