I am so excited to be joining you for the new growing season! I just moved to Kelowna from the coast and have big plans for a great big garden! My true love is vegetable/food growing but I plan to grow many flowers and herbs as well. I have sooo many seeds! Looking forward to turning all this lawn into garden. We have only a .21 acre lot but I know we'll get lots growing on it. I have had seeds started in my basement since January. Spring can't come soon enough in this corner of the world!
Nice to virtually meet you all!

Welcome in! I've run out of people to give free plants to :D

I am all about getting rid of lawn, and did it in an ingenious way. If you're interested, I'll post all about it here. Most already know though so I'll wait to see if you want to know.

Is your Google broken? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elephant_garlic

"Elephant garlic can be planted at two different times of the year: spring and autumn. In warmer areas, it can be grown over winter for a late-spring harvest."
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?

I'll say! And it's so beautiful out there it's tough to admit I'm indoors taking a break.

You must be at a higher elevation, maybe Glenrosa or Joe Rich?

My inlaws are in Carmi, and still can't see the ground for snow. And QK lives lower than I do, so she has flowers like 2 weeks before I do.
