That's not what he's saying in that ad.

LOL. I believe that one because it's John Horgan himself on the video. Are you suggesting that it's an actor pretending to be John Horgan? If so he deserves an Academy Award because he looks and sounds exactly like Horgan. Good try flaming! Gotta give you that!

Horgan :

" I don't disagree with the bulk of it "

Rwede translation :
He said he agrees with pretty much all aspects of it.

What Horgan should have said was " I will present my own platform on April 10th " , but he didn't so Liberal crony opportunists like CC4BC use it in their adds. These adds intentionally present their skewed opinion on the Federal NDP Leap Manifesto , while simultaneously insinuating that the Provincial NDP is one in the same. They know the difference , they are just hoping uninformed voters will buy their load of dung.

********************************************EDIT **************************************

Well , what do you know ....... I just watched the interview , and you will never guess what Mr. Horgan actually said !

So , according to the rules , political contributions are reported to , monitored , and made public by elections BC.
Who lets us know where CC4BC's money comes from ?

When it comes to the NDP, all they offer is a load of dung. Which is why they've lost 4 elections in a row.

Neither the NDP nor Horgan has ever supported the Leap Manifesto, of course. But the federal NDP’s willingness to debate its content and merits is fodder enough for CC4BC to spread their fake news in a contemptible attempt to mislead B.C. voters.

- Martyn Brown (he's well-versed in political analysis)

This is strictly a push by Jim Shepherd and his cronies (cc4BC) that they are hoping is swallowed by the LIVs - looks like we have quite a crop of them here on Castanet!!!

So why is Horgan on video saying that he supports the Leap Manifesto?

Martyn Brown may hate the current government but since you brought up his name you might be interested in the advice that he has for the NDP:

Who and what, exactly, are the New Democrats for?

We know what they are against—Kinder Morgan, Pacific Northwest LNG, Site C, the Massey bridge, etc. But whose side are they on?

That’s hard to even ascertain from the NDP’s website.

It offers links to Events and to News and it urges visitors to Volunteer, Donate, and Join.

“I’m with you, John!” it prominently declares, in inviting people to give the NDP their emails and postal codes. OK, but why?

Even the NDP’s support for bold policies like $10/day daycare and eliminating MSP premiums are nearly invisible on the site.

“Christy Clark is failing our kids.” “Take action on the fentanyl crisis.” “Stop Kinder Morgan.” Those are three main appeals for action, none of which offers any substantive information, or policy. They are all only aimed at soliciting people’s names, emails, phone numbers, and postal codes.

I know. Wait for the campaign. There will be a comprehensive platform that will blow our socks off.

But in the interim, the New Democrats’ own lack of easily accessible information on why anyone should vote for them, or what they really stand for, or whose side they are on leaves them especially vulnerable to being defined by their opponents.

Whether they admit it or not, Horgan’s New Democrats have already been largely defined as being against jobs, period.

Unless he laughed after that and said, "April Fool!" I can't imagine what editing would change what he said. Deny the obvious if you like but we'll be seeing lots of that video clip with plenty of information about the Leap Manifesto. Again, I think Horgan is playing to the radical environmentalists. It's a big gamble.

Is the LEAP manifesto an NDP (federal) policy or did they just vote to DISCUSS it ?
( not really asking , as I already know the answer )

The LEAP manifesto was not put together by the NDP , as CC4BC would like you to believe. It was authored by a wide rang of people , including church leaders , environmentalists and labour representatives.
The Green Party was the only federal party so far to support it , immediately after it went public.
