Re: B.C. Political Ads
It is way past time that Liberals realized their 'accomplishments' can be easily challenged.
Hospitals- waiting in corridors.
Schools-robbed the most vulnerable
Bridges..falling ice, tolls
Westside Rd...way behind times.
The problem is thst the Liberals have underfunded these for decades and,
Often shuffle expenses to municipalities. And or school boards.
Past time to catch up.

There is one ad I keep seeing re Mr Horgan and the Leap manifesto all though it is not as bad an attach as the ones against the Liberals. (So far)
I really don't like this type of political advertising. Tell me what "You" are going to do to improve things, not what the other guy has done to screw it up!
I'm aware of that all ready.

I think that the CCforBC ads are the Liberals corporate buddies muddying the waters. Don't confuse those ads as Liberals ads. (well not that the wouldn't approve of them)
Never argue with an idiot, they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

How is it not as bad ? the ads about the Liberals are just reminding people what's already being reported in the news..
The real attack ad is the totally misleading ad by the Liberals (or Liberal supporters) about 50,000 people leaving BC during the 1990's because of the NDP.. That same ad was used during the 2013 election, at the time it was proven that the Liberals took facts and figures out of context to create that misleading attack ad.

I was just pointing out to fluffy an ad targeted at the NDP as he claimed not to have seen any.
I would prefer that attack ads were banned completely on TV.

Urbane...maybe the Liberals could 'borrow' from the teachers...again.
Facetious.
And you a former teacher!
The duh finance part is that the rich will have to pay more. Period.
Or are you just protecting investments?
The Liberals HAVE underfunded many social programs.
By off loading many of the costs.

I agree...
Actually so far most of the negative ads from both sides have been from third party supporters. I believe, though I could be mistaken, that Ontario has some sort of law on the books that third party political advertising has to be vetted by the office of the electoral officer. I'd like to see all political advertising vetted by a neutral third party for accuracy to weed out false allegations and BS. I'd rather all political parties advertised what they've accomplished or plan to accomplish, and how exactly they plan to do it, rather than tell outright lies about their political counterparts..

The topic is political ads.
Obviously, the Liberals are well financed by the rich
Who try to protect investments and do not pay their fair share of taxes.
Glad to take any on topic question.

So, who is financing the NDP ads and what are they getting in return?

So far I've only see two attack ads actually sponsored and paid for by the NDP, and two ads from NDP supporters, one from the BCTF and one from the nurses union, those two ads are meant to be attack ads, however neither are what anyone would consider really nitty gritty attack ads..
So far I haven't seen any actual Liberal Party of BC political ads, but there are at least five different rather nasty attack ads that aren't entirely truthful sponsored by friends of the Liberals making me rounds. If anyone watches Global BC news at 6:00PM one of those anti-Horgan ads will pop up every 5 minutes. What I've noticed about the anti-Horgan/ NDP attack ads is that there content is about 20% accurate and honest and 80% pure bunk. Just sticking with the 20% of attack ad that's accurate should be enough to get the the message across without all the lies and false allegations in the other 80%.
Hopefully the BC Liberal sponsored ads won't be full of lies and half truths.

These "rich" are paying for ads because they don't want to have to leave BC again like they did in the 1990's to escape the NDP reign of terror.
