Have you ever turned down opportunity to keep a balance life?
No. Balancing on a knife edge is my new superpower.

Waddled more than walked from the Jerry Springer movie.

Knives are as dangerous as knaves, I dare say.
Have you ever looked up at the stars and said, "if I had taken a different path, would I still be here"?

Yes. No, *bleep*?
There have been a couple of supernova since I started looking at the stars. Mostly I missed them. If they had happened closer you would not, in fact, be here.
I look up at the posts and wonder. If the people here didn't tickle my giblet, would I still be here?

Yes. Fortunately it had been dead for some time and only made me cry like a little boy (oh right, it was a while ago now).

Have you ever been caught by tidal action? Nearly cut off from a safe escape route?

Yes. Morecambe Bay largely empties during low tides. That is where I learned the art of stomping around on sand, turning it into quicksand.
While you are out a mile or two the tide comes back in, but not in a straight or predictable way. The water comes in in channels that it carves out of the soft sand.
You can jump many of those channels on your way back to shore but you must be mindful that you haven't crossed any of the larger empty channels on your way out.
Have you ever caught crabs? (near the ocean).

Near the ocean, glad you cleared that up. Nope.
Have you ever gone whale watching only to see an Orca rush the boat?

I suspect so, mild but still devastating.
