Better basic wages.

It is way past time to get these going to help ordinary people.

I don't know what you mean by "ordinary" people, and I honestly think this is a horrible phrase, but here's what I like:

A week at Sparkling Hill
Maseratis
Driving the Amalfi Coast
Wine Tours
Going to the Superbowl
Staying at a Suite at the Bellagio

These are all great things, so of course they come at great cost. Everyone has to determine if they want to spend money on things, even "ordinary" people like me. We also have to make sure that things are done in moderation. If we did everything we "liked" without considering costs, we'd be no better than an NDP supporter, and no one wants to be a loser like that.

George+, it's really not up to you to tell me what I like and what I don't.

You may believe if the government freezes utility costs, I won't pay for it some other way. I don't, and I'd rather see them drop the carbon taxes so I'm back to paying for what I actually use instead of funding something else when I heat and light my home.

You may believe if I stop paying a monthly MSP bill, I won't pay for it any other way. I don't.

You may believe if people stop paying tolls, that money won't be collected any other way. I don't.

You may believe $10 daycare will provide a net benefit to British Columbians. I don't, and I've explained what I think of the social cost of this program.

You may believe a large jump in basic wages will provide a net benefit to British Columbians. I don't.

You and I simply have a very different view of how to help ordinary people, but my bet is we'd both like to see people better off. Which is why we will each vote for the policies we think will net the best result.

Definitely voting NDP even though my candidate has a real lack of life experience but mostly against the Liberals, they are just way too corrupt to govern. I'm against $10 a day childcare and no toll bridges but the Liberal alternative is far worse and the greens seem a little too one with the unicorn for me.

I am embarrassed to be a voter in BC. But is it better anywhere? Has politics just attracted the worst of the worst in recent decades? When will there be a positive political candidate who works for the people that we can happily vote for not just this crap to vote against?

If so that'd be pretty cool! And also a sad indictment of the fact that there is no Opposition in this province. The NDP really needs to be disbanded, as soon as possible.

Christy Clark makes her first official swing through the Okanagan and her own riding Tuesday.

The Liberal leader was in Kelowna briefly at the beginning of the campaign, flipping pancakes at a Good Friday event in Kelowna, however, this today marks her first official campaign tour of the region.

Clarks whirlwind tour includes stops in Merritt and Princeton Tuesday morning, before concluding at an evening event in Kelowna.

Oh look she's going to grace her own riding with a brief stop over and the photo-op Princess is wearing a hardhat and safety vest.. That's new.. LOL...
