Media Manipulation of Election.
Canada’s biggest newspaper chain is pushing hard for another Christy Clark majority government.
Postmedia, which owns the Vancouver Sun and The Province, donated $10,000 to re-elect the BC Liberals.
And both Vancouver papers have officially endorsed Christy Clark.
This morning, readers woke up to the headline “NEW POLL POINTS TO LIBERAL MAJORITY”.

But the B.C. Poll numbers published by the Vancouver Sun don’t fit that narrative at all.
A few hours later, the paper replaced those numbers, dropping the “undecided” number to 14 and boosting the Liberals to 34 points. They say the first version was a mistake.
Maybe. But the overall picture is clear: corporate media owners are trying to convince voters that Christy Clark is about to win. And if another Liberal majority is inevitable, why bother voting?
Well, screw that. Nothing is inevitable. Pollsters and newspaper owners don’t pick the winners in a democracy – voters do.
If you haven’t made a plan to vote tomorrow, please visit the Elections BC map, type in your postal code and get to your closest polling station.
Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday May 9. That’s tomorrow.
Your employer is legally required to give you time off so you can go vote.

Depends on what time you start or finish work ... if your day normally ends at 5pm, you can legally leave at 4pm without being docked pay.
Voters are entitled to four consecutive hours free from work to vote on General Voting Day. Voting hours on General Voting Day are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Pacific time.
This does not necessarily mean four hours off work. It means that there must be a four hour period, free from work, during voting hours. Time off may be at the beginning or end of an employee’s shift, or unnecessary if normal working hours already provide enough time free from work to vote. For example, if a shift ends at 4 p.m., or does not begin until noon, the employee is not entitled to any time off. Employers can decide when their employees can take time off to vote.

The undecided in the Ipsos poll was at 16 and in another poll I saw today it was down to under 10 points so I can understand the correction.

Simply not true.
The NDP have held there own in a statistical tie.
It is the Greens who have gone up drawing Liberal voters.
It is not libel to state what is fact.

Liberals lost 3 points to the Greens.
You better hope this is not true.

Can you understand that also?
What I understand is you started a thread whining about media supporting the Liberals in your opinion, while you spend your whole day using media to push your own agenda, that being the NDP.
How is that any different? How many posts you got now, stating a vote for the Greens is a vote for the LIberals so vote NDP?
Castanet is the media, and you guys use it to maximum to push your NDP. So much so in fact, that I've often thought that some threads cross a line, to where the author should be told to host their own blog, rather than exploiting Castanet's generosity and using it to promote personal ideology. Much of it isn't discussion at all, it's just spamming.
My goodness your whole group is hypocritical beyond comprehension.
Liberals get corporate donations - NDP zealots say bad.
NDP get huge donation from giant foreign based union - NDP zealots say it's all good because that's the rules.
Newsflash the Liberals are going by current rules as well.
You guys are just babies, that are ticked off, because the Liberals are more successful at raising money, than the NDP. You need to get over that.
The NDP's shortcomings are not the Liberal's fault. You need to look internally not for a target to point fingers at.
