Keep it coming, this sort of comic relief takes the edge off the situation for hydrologists and hydrogeologists.

If we built a water pipeline to California and either sold it to them or they give us a discount on our veggies.

Let's just distill/brew it all into booze. I'd lower the lake level by half by the end of next week if we did that. :130:

The solution has been mentioned already.
Dyke your land if need be.
Otherwise, chill, relax and sip some suds.

It's hard to feel sorry for the millionaires living along the lake who built below the recommended flood level that's over half a meter above where it sits now.

Graham you missed this part,,
some water may still sneak thru , but you can pump it back into the lake.
If you did the sandbagging right, far less water gets thru, and you have some control, and maybe a dry basement.

If it needs more explaining we will be back..
I'd like to help You OUT,
Which way did You come in??

TheDeuce wrote:I have an idea for what to do with the excess lake water. We should get some sort of tankers to fill with water from the lake. They could possibly be stored at the airport. Not only would be removing water from the lake, we could save the water for use during forest fire season, or to pump back into the lake when we are on water restrictions and have low water levels.

Post some comments or other ideas.

We could just gently lift up one end of the lake with some sort of jacks, I know Penticton would get flooded but the water is going that way anyway. When I am there I only really go to the Bad Tattoo Pizza place and The Bench Market ... and the Bench is up high so ....
