Very ironic the Liberals lost to the Conservatives.
After propping Greens in NDP ridings.

Just like the snake turned on itself for the NDP in Revelstoke and Cowichan as they screwed themselves with their disgusting racist and sexist nomination policies.

If that's the giant load of bull you want to believe, you go ahead. The NDP handed that riding to the Greens on a platter because of their stupid racist and sexist policy regarding exclusion of people from running for the NDP based on their gender and race. What a crappy and horrible party the NDP truly is.

Pretty sad the communists might form a government . Everywhere they go . Bleeds red ink . Glad to not have kids who will be stuck paying for this . Probably take 30 years to recover from 4 years of ndp rule
Now they want to take our guns away . That would be just fine. Take em away from the criminals first . Ill gladly give u mine. "Charlie Daniels"

That will be hard to determine. We're still paying for Gordon Campbell's reckless fiscal policy and will be for some time.

What parts of his fiscal policy did you consider reckless, Ka-El?

We're so screwed. There sure are a lot of points on how they'll reduce revenue and increase spending...

- Recalling the legislature within a month of the swearing in of the NDP cabinet.
- Do everything in the government’s power to oppose the expansion of the Kinder Morgan pipeline, including withholding relevant provincial permits for the project and engaging in court action.
- Introducing legislation to ban corporate and union donations in the first sitting of the next session and put limits on donations.
- Introduce legislation to call a referendum on proportional representation to coincide with the fall municipal elections in 2018, and if possible introduce in time for the 2021 provincial election.
- Extend the term of the government to four and a half years, by moving the legislated spring election date to the fall of 2021.
- Increase the carbon tax by $5 a tonne every year starting next April, bumping the current rate of $30 per tonne up to $50 per tonne in 2021. There’s no cap on the agreement, so presumably increases would continue if the government were re-elected. The change represents one of the victories for the Greens, as the rate increase is more ambitious than the one proposed by the NDP. They are also proposing to extend it to fugitive emissions and slash-burning.
- Immediately refer Site C dam to the B.C. Utilities Commission for review, but not pause or halt construction during that review.
- Set up a commission to find a path toward a $15 minimum wage within the first term of government.
- Immediately work to improve transit in Metro Vancouver with cooperation with the mayors and identify new funding sources. Party officials hinted this might provide an opening to put the proposed bridge to replace the Massey Tunnel on hold pending consultations with local politicians, where there is little support for the project.
- Eliminate Metro Vancouver bridge tolls as promised by the NDP. The move would be contained in the NDP budget, but allow the Greens, who support tolls, to speak against that while also voting for the budget.
- Increased funding for education.
- Having a cabinet minister for mental health.
- Increased funding for health care and to manage the overdose crisis.
- An agreement to work toward more affordable child care, improve quality and spaces, but no specific mention of $10 a day child care as the NDP had promised, or free child care as the Greens had promised. Details are to be sorted out later.
- Design and implement an income pilot project to test whether giving people a basic income would improve their lives.
- Eliminating medicare premiums over the next four years, with a review on how that will be paid for and whether that includes rolling it into income tax.
- An agreement for the NDP and Greens to consulting on filling major public service jobs and hiring heads of Crown corporations.
- No mention of balanced budgets, or any other tax increases. Budget will be set by the NDP based on their platform, which did include restoration of the higher income tax bracket for people with incomes of over $150,000.
- No mention in the agreement of liquefied natural gas industry to address the concerns of the Greens about LNG. There was no mention of fracking, though the NDP platform did promise a scientific review of fracking.
- Restoration of free adult basic education and ESL.
- Develop a province-wide poverty reduction strategy, something the NDP has tabled in the house several times.

Since they seem hell bent on saying no, and stopping things, maybe we could get them to stop the HOV lane on Hwy 97?

Oh wait, what am I saying, the Okanagan didn't vote for them so they won't give a hoot about anything we want or say. Just like the 90's.

Blatant hypocrisy! If the shoe was on the other foot, with the NDP having won 43 seats, yet the Liberals and Greens formed government, the whining coming from your general direction would be endless, just as it's been since last election, and you know it!

No one, outside your fellow NDP sycophants, buys into the games.

Let him have his moment, it will be over soon enough. Can't see this relationship lasting more than a couple of months.
