With all the glue etc involved in chipboard plywood & manufactured beam etc... etc. Its no wonder the smoke coming off was so black.
That appeared to be looking pretty toxic, impo it looked like tires burning.

Yes Both the buildings are off of Trussell, the one that was under construction is now completely gone. It has now spread to another occupied 65 unit condo.

I'm up at about 3000 feet. Quite windy up here. You can see the wind is spreading the black smoke quite far

Obviously that was a mistake . I remember it well actually . Forestry pushed it thru as a way to use more wood . It was celebrated at the time .
Now they want to take our guns away . That would be just fine. Take em away from the criminals first . Ill gladly give u mine. "Charlie Daniels"

I agree. Who builds something that size with wood? Doesn't give the fire fighters a chance.

I wouldn't be surprised if it takes out the building beside it.

Thanks Gord, they should change the title of the thread to be more specific.

Yeah, this is the better thread title.

I was up on Little White & saw the smoke starting to billow - I was wondering where/what it was. (will post a pic or two of it here later)

Maybe they are getting the upper hand. Less smoke and now it's a white smoke

Possible cause of the fire, a worker using a torch.

I can't imagine how awful this person would feel. Plus he has sustained burns to his hands.

I have to ask the question, why wouldn't there be a fire extinguisher(s) on hand while doing this type of work?
