Any hotels offering help for evacuees?
Hi there
I was wondering if there is any information on places in Kelowna that may be able to help evacuees from the cariboo? Due to the city wide alert many of them are heading up to Prince George to go up and over to Kelowna to at least be closer to family.
I know 6 people convoying down tomorrow and one of the families has a cat. We're trying to find them a reasonable hotel as everyone is out of a job for the foreseeable future.
Hoping there might be some hotels, etc, that are offering any sort of help or deal. I know they're exhausted and looking for a hotel so they can have their own space and breathe a little.
Thanks!

Not Kelowna but it's a start. I'm sure there are others.

Emergency Services has opened at Salvation Army on Sutherland, make sure they register and perhaps will find some assistance they need.

I believe AirBNB is also providing free or discounted accommodations to people affected by the fires.
