I like that, "Not fires of note."

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

That map needs to be updated. A few of those red dots NE of Kamloops need to be changed to "Fires of note"

Yup, it's been estimated to be that for a few days now. There's too much smoke to make an exact measurement, but chances are that it will be getting much bigger as the heat returns later this week.maryjane48 wrote:yea .must be close to 10000 hectres

The Kootenays are getting all the heat. They're the only place below 20% humidity, and the danger rating is back up to high and extreme...

I agree Frisk, I had no idea!
I just wanted to say thanks to Glacier for posting this technical stuff. It's interesting.
I saw a story on the news a while back that (if I recall correctly - no one quote me on this please) that fire danger is greatest when the 3-30's are met. That's temperature over 30 degrees, winds over 30 and humidity below 30.
So Glacier, are the Kootenays the only place under 20% in the province now?
