A fire just started on knox mountain fire truck roared up the hill and more coming.Why isn't that park closed?

It was closed earlier - but only to vehicle traffic - even though not many cars start forest fires.

it looks to be on back side the dog park 11 trucks and heli on scene .

I live nearby and am currently watching it. Seems to be growing, helicopters are flying above now. Lets hope it gets contained. Cheers to any firefighters and others assisting on the scene!

No lightning in the area, so next possibility that's right stupid as hole human.

With the recent blowtorching blowhard I wouldn't be surprised if this one was also intentional. Would be infuriating as well...

People choose to ignore that fact.

I'm actually surprised this is the only one this weekend....with tens of thousands of people attending COG, and a lot of them probably 'camping out' - I was afraid it would be worse.

Looking at a close up on Castanet home page, looks like it is a ways beyond the road.

Looks like it is under control and the helicopter buckets have thinned out.

Round them all up and set fire to them down at the site of the new Tourism Centre.

Broadcast it live online. Saturday night entertainment for the locals.

Prod the culprits with pitchforks as they writhe and scream.

The exposure might keep more of our annual influx of brain dead genius "visitors" away.
