Wild Horses Burn to Death

Post by Glacier »

WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTO ATTACHED

Chief Roger William of the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation said Thursday that eight adult and two young horses died when fire swept through a lodgepole pine forest off the Nemiah Valley Road. The scorched carcasses were photographed earlier this week by Xeni Gwet’in rangers.

William described the site as the “back end” of the Hanceville-Riske Creek fire, which, as of Thursday morning, had burned 232,301 hectares of the Chilcotin. The region’s Plateau fire is even bigger at 467,462 hectares.

Just sickening to post something like that - especially when residents trying to get their horses out of Joe Rich. Hope this topic gets deleted.

Whats the problem with posting this. Its reality. I highly doubt people with horses in the joe rich are on here looking at the forums.

I'm okay with the topic now - it's horrific what perishes in these fires. Every fire takes so much life.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of that at the time I posted this story. My apologies.

I think it's important for some to see what these fires do/the destruction caused. Sad. for all species.
