Not sure yet but there is activity at the base in Penticton. Heading North.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Winds in Peachland 13 gusting to 28,,hum. around 15%,,temp 35 ish,,,,no way to feel good about this ! Crank those tankers and bombers up please.

Just came back from Summerland. Could see the smoke. It is VERY windy out there. Not good. I agree, get the air support out early.

BC Wildfire map shows a new fire on Garnet Valley Road, west across the lake from Okanagan Mtn Park, and closer to Summerland than Peachland. Is this the same one?

Confirmed. Visual from my buddies house. Can see the smoke definitely near Summerland. Also see a heli in the area.
