The Classical, Romantic and Baroque eras all influenced modern genres today. They were the foundation of modern music. From the classical we derived the chorus, a focal point of almost of song. From the Baroque period was derived the extreme character that we see in rock and pop bands. From the Romantic period was derived originality and artistic expression. All of these eras, popularized by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Mozart, Debussy, and many more, laid the foundation of modern genres. Each time you listen to contemporary music, remember where it came from.

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio - I M B E C I L E, My Idiot Lover

Ordo has a unique style that’s easy to listen to... “dominus”-type themes aside.

This version of the song was produced by Playing For Change. Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music. PFC was founded by Mark Johnson and Whitney Kroenke when they began recording local street artists. Mark thought of an ingenious idea to layer tracks by separate artists from different countries over each other, so that they could share a connection and a bond. This resulted in an award-winning documentary titled “A Cinematic Discovery Of Street Musicians”.

In this video, various artists come together for a flawless rendition of this Redding classic. The clip starts out in Santa Monica, then continues to places like Japan, Brazil, Italy, and other cities in the USA as well. Each artist brings his own unique touch to the song. This is truly a privilege to listen to! Music is a universal language, and this video proves it.

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Put on the old 1975 k-tel Mindbender album today. Parents must have bought it when I was about ten. Has some great songs and some bad songs, but this little gem really stood out. Lol! Enjoy.
