Also to be considered if whether or not you want your child to have a currently popular name or one that is not quite so common. If you go to the Vital Statistics website, you can go back several years and see what the top 10 or 20 names have been. As well, you can go to every letter of the alphabet and read how many times a name was given to a child each year in BC. They are separated by gender. (Names given less than 5 times are not included.) You also have to consider multiple spellings. Such as Jayden, Jaiden, Jaydan, Jaden, etc. or Caitlyn, Caitlin, Katelyn, Katlynne...
I believe both Jaden and Ethan are very popular right now. Not sure about Jase. There's a trend right now to old biblical names like Caleb, Seth, Jacob, Silas, Isaac and so on.
Finally, some names are used by both genders and you may or may not want that. So best to see if girls are geing named Jaden or Jase, etc. Be aware of what the initials of all names you choose spell also.
A popular name isn't necessarily a bad thing. Michael has been in the top 20 forever. Female names seem to change more over time than those of males.
Anyway, good luck with the name choice Jenny and Mr. Jenny.

By the way, nice middle names you have selected. If I had a son today, I have no clue what I'd name him. Back when I had my daughters, I liked the name Clinton. And it has been my good fortune to have a son-in-law with that name!
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

jennylives wrote:Some great names coming out, I do like Ethan and Jase. I seem to be drawn to J names for some reason. I'd like to avoid the "adens" but I do love Jaden. The man's already vetoed it though so unless I'm really on my nagging game it's out. The middle names I already know will be Andrew Paul. Good work guys and gals.

Thought for sure you'd pick Shorty :(

Ooooo name him Jackson (Jaxon, Jakxon, etc)
I love it. There was a little boy born on the same day as my middle baby and that was his name. He was so manly, even at 4 hours old. So precious. Unfortunately, my husband veto'd it for our son, but he ended up with a pretty damn cool name if I do say so myself!!
