Here was my view of the Good Creek and Mount Eneas wildfires about 30 minutes ago.
Re: Okanagan Mountain Park/Good Creek
Interesting view you had. Were you standing on your head?
Edit... there ya go!

Ah, I see what you mean. The photo looks fine on my phone but upside down on my computer. I’ll see what I can do to fix it.

Re: Okanagan Mountain Park/Good Creek
I've been stumped for two days listening to people say that the winds are blowing south...... because at my place, and at work...and i'm outside in it for about 13 hours a day - the winds have very consistently been blowing FROM the SOUTH.

Re: Okanagan Mountain Park/Good Creek
It looks like the East end of the fire is now from the lake over the top of the ridge.
I have been watching it all day move south up the hill.
2 helicopters have been bucketing since early morning.

I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

Just a FYI, Kamloops Fire Center have been broadcasting a wind warning to pilots and ground crews of winds ranging from 20 gusting to 45 KPH and beyond this afternoon and evening. Ground crews are advised to make sure they can access escape routes and to watch for falling trees and other hazards due to possible increased fire behavior.
Sure hope they stay safe....

I sure hope anyone on the ground at the east end of the fire has been pulled out.
Lot`s of dark smoke at the ridge.

Ya I hope everyone fighting this (and other) fires stay safe. It's getting quite windy even at my place by the Kelowna airport.

I'm not sure how much clearer us mods can be. This thread is for updates only. Start a new thread and yak back and forth there.

I'm more than a little perplexed as to exactly how, when you can very clearly see just how far this fire has travelled, they are still reporting it at 400 hectares ???
